On Thursday, September 11th from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm (Pacific Time), and Friday, September 12th from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, the Global Genes | RARE Project will be hosting their Third Annual Patient Advocacy Summit in Huntington Beach, California. For patient advocates unable to attend in person, the event will be available via a live webcast. To participate in the webcast, make sure you remember to register in advance.
This year's theme is “Empowering Patient Advocates to Become Successful Activists” and includes a packed agenda on such topics as the E-patient movement, rare diseases and the transition to adulthood, and caregiver support. The event is geared towards rare disease patients, advocates, caregivers, family members and friends. The purpose of the summit is to help patient advocates become successful activists by providing practical advice, case studies and networking opportunities.
We have heard great feedback about this event the past 2 years – sign up for the free webcast and experience it for yourself!
