We are pleased to announce that the external Review Committee for the 2015 PAL Awards program has been selected. Together, Jean Campbell, Patricia Collins, and Pat Furlong bring a tremendous depth of knowledge and expertise in global non-profit fundraising, rare disease advocacy, and patient group leadership experience, among many other areas. We are delighted to have their combined expertise and insights as part of this important program.
Through this year’s PAL Awards program, Genzyme will award grants of up to $25,000 to eligible patient organizations focused on the LSD community. As a competitive grant program, the review committee’s role is to evaluate and score all submissions and ultimately select up to three PAL Awards recipients for 2015.
New this year, PAL proposals can now be submitted in any language. With this year’s focus on collaboration, only proposals involving collaboration among two or more organizations will be considered. For example, an LSD patient organization in one region of the world may want to partner with an allied organization in another country to support learning exchanges between patient groups. Or, a patient group may partner with a university or hospital to further medical education. The responsibilities of each partner organization must be defined clearly in order to be considered.
The deadline for all applications is September 30th, so please visit the PAL Awards website for more information!
