News you can use! DIA patient fellowship opportunity at EuroMeeting

Annamarie Dillon | October 08, 2015

We wanted to call your attention to an opportunity to participate as a patient advocate at an upcoming DIA meeting in Europe. As it is time-sensitive, please review soon. Here is the background:

DIA (the Drug Information Association) established the DIA Patient Fellowship Programme to facilitate the participation of patient advocates at the DIA EuroMeeting. This programme was created as a response to the growing need for patient representation in the medicines’ development process. The DIA Patient Fellowship Programme is designed amongst others to develop, strengthen and support patient collaborations with policy makers, industry representatives, public health authorities, academia, and other healthcare stakeholders. This meeting provides a platform for sharing the best practices, stimulating cooperation and enabling a two-way dialogue across the entire global healthcare community. Up to 15 patient fellowships are on offer for the next EuroMeeting in Hamburg on 06-08th April 2016, which will include entrance to the EuroMeeting, accommodation and travel expenses.

The applications are open to anyone affiliated with a patient organisation, who has been involved in education and/or advocacy-related activities. The participant should be familiar with activities related to clinical trials, medicine development, HTA, regulatory affairs etc. and the business language of the conference is English. Please note that the application deadline is 23rd November 2015. Visit the DIA EuroMeeting website for more information.
